Could you help me, how should use that function?

pd3dDev->SetDialogBoxMode(TRUE);

I included the avars.h, d3d9.h, windows.h but didn't give good result.

Edit: i added this line but the application crashed.

LPDIRECT3DDEVICE9 pd3dDev;

After adding this: pd3dDev = (LPDIRECT3DDEVICE9)draw_begin();
no more crash happened. But the dialog window remains under the application window, in fullscreen.

Seeing as I had never tested this till now, I apologise.

Just include d3d9.h (because avars.h is already included by acknex.h).

Then put this line just after the video is initialised. (one time only)
IDirect3DDevice9 *d3dd = pd3ddev; d3dd->SetDialogBoxMode(TRUE);
And it should be right .... works for me.

OK... hmmm... try it like this (small change) instead.
IDirect3DDevice9 *d3dd = pd3ddev; d3dd->SetDialogBoxMode(1);
AND move it to after your first "level_load"...
