hy to all...sry for my english...i what to learn how to creat soft shadows in 3DGS...i`m a begginer, but i whant to lear how to creat soft shadows, pleas help me with a tutorial or something....pls...

-- a pretty-much perfect tutorial to learn to program shaders for those who've never done it before. The first half won a contest, and the second half was added by jcl when PP-effects were added to A7.

Not only that, but it specifically teaches you a way to create soft shadows, and summarises other methods.

If you go to the Downloads page the shader workshop can also be found there, and it contains all the examples so that you can see how it all works.

Your shaders will usually go in ".fx" files, which are referenced in your MATERIALs. These can be in your main script or elsewhere, but usually need to be assigned to entities (my.material = mtlAwesome; for example).

i`ve try to download the workshop tutorial from the download page but sems to b e a problem, after i download it to my pc i try to extract the files but then i get an error.. @JulzMighty do u have that workshop tutorial that works? if u have it pls upload it somewhere or send it to me on sad_unleshed@yahoo.com , or someone else that have a good version of the Shader Workshop....

i have some question again...when i define a mterial...the name of my material must be the name of a texture i have in my level ? i write the name of my texture in the ambientdemo.c scrip ? after i define that material where should i put the ambientdemo.c script ? in the folder with my level ? i have to include the ambientdemo.c scrip in the begining of my main script ? like include <ambientdemo.c>; ? sry for that many questions frown hope someone will help me its hard to understand that tutorial because my native language is not english...so that is why i have so many questions... thaks a lot again ... i will wait for answers...
