That Megaman III Remix is wonderful. smile

@Spike: If you want to, you can post your own songs here if you think they can beat with the best of the best.
I remember the main theme from 4 Little Warriors, this was wonderful - and an unbelievable earworm. I remember the melody still today.

4 Little Warriors (PC - 2007(?) - Firoball)

Download: http://www.4warriors.de/download.php?file=track2.zip

------------------------------

Turrican II: The Final Fight (Amiga/C64 - 1991 - Rainbow Arts)

Main Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICoe0j-3xcA&feature=related

-------------------------------

"Still Alive": Melody is not that good, but it`s so cute that the boss enemy sings a song to you grin . Portal was one of the best games I ever played.

The funny thing with The Turrican2 Theme is, that
no following Turrican game, other platform (PC, Atari etc)
or following Highquality Synthesizer or Orcestral Mix
came even close to the original Amiga music.

(I actually have that song somewhere on my USB stick,
with the stereo seperation reduced, and some more bass )

Jazz jackrabbit 2 as referenced earlier. The music is ingenious, labrat is IMO the best one:

The composer is Alexander Brandon, he's got more nice music.

Red Alert 2 - grinder:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7jSig5_N3o
Composer: Frank Klepacki, made a whole lot of game music

Kirby's adventure - forest trail:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fa-Hik-w-Cw
Composer: Nintendo

Eve Online - Beauty Never Fades

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgFPGvNCCbg
Composer: Junky XL, famous musician

Jet Set Radio Future - Concept of love, Fly like a butterfly, funky dealer, ...:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1XL434RAQc
Especially the first one is a good song, but all these songs fit the genre marvellously. Hearing them recalls some good old gaming times laugh.
Composer: Multiple artists

Halo 1 - Covenant dance

Excellent cinematic music, I love the drums.
Composer: Martin O'Donnell

--> sorry for double post, no more pictures allowed :|

okay, then here I go...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MajeZ-SnIAk
basically, i think this is one of the best songs i ever did. i really love it so much i listen to it myself alot. and that says something, at least to me. i wont talk more about the game here though as long as i havent had the money to pay redemmer (sorry bout that btw)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9-2exquTCM
this is a different piece of music. a little upbeat because of the clarinet.
its a dugneon music. i couldnt decide between this and another dungeon theme, but i went for that because the other one is rather subtle and more amient like, less melodic. i could talk about the game here but i guess that would be off topic...

Oh whistle

2007 is correct, and the original composer is Torbjörn Karlsson aka Sandman.

Another one.

Lethal Xcess (Atari ST - 1991)
