Hi, I'm new to 3D Game Studio and a free user and I was wondering what's the easiest way to combine BHV and 3DS files I found in the web. As you should know BHV files are motion capture data and 3DS files is a common 3D model format and I found many free of them in the web. I would like to combine them to build some native MED models but the tools I'm using are lacking the features so I need some good free tools that can do the task. Does any of you know of any free tools that can do the job? Thanks in advance and have a nice day!

to do that you have to rig yout 3DS model with the skeleton of the BVH file. First thing and the probably easiest way comes to my mind is Fragmotion. For quick tests use auto-rigging feature, fix the necessary vertices and you have your bvh file attached to your 3ds mesh.

you could also use blender for that, you can import both 3ds models and BVH animation to it.
if you don't know how to use blender, you can watch tutorials at youtube. it is very easy to use.

I found another free good program capable of managing both files. It's called Truesapce. You should also take a look at it TerraSame. Two problems I found with Blender are that it doesn't import texture and texture map data from 3DS files and BVH files are imported with the orientation all messed up. If we find a solution to those issues we should post it here since we both use Blender. Don't you think TerraSame? Truespace don't have those problems.
