It seems the premise of Avatar Wars is getting a little dull, as pointed out by our immense drop in votes over the last couple of weeks...

I thought about shutting it down, but that might upset a few people, and besides, we're still kind of getting started. So, I decided to open a topic where you can post suggestions and ideas to improve Avatar Wars. New rules and special events now go here.

So, we need some ideas! What do you think could be done to improve our existing formula?

How 'bout a huge banner in the top of every avatar battle?

I'd say it would be more interesting if both competitors were new -- not as in new to the forum, but new to AW. I reckon already knowing one of the competitors before each round starts takes away from it, especially as competitors will sometimes be talking about the history of their avatars and so on.

Once most/all avatars have been exhausted, then have the past winners compete with each other.
