Can someone tell me how to prevent walls from becoming too dark when applying the bump map shader to a four-sided object using the Sun as a dynamic light source?

The walls that are not directly affected by the Sun's light appear almost pitch black; however, increasing the level's ambient light nor adding another dynamic light to the unlit walls solved the problem.

Try adding a light object in front of the dark area then set it's radius etc.

When I create a hollowed room with some of the Sun light shining inside, only two of the four walls are lit. The last two walls are abnormally dark even if I add a few more light sources within the room. It appears that the brightness of the walls and how well they reflect light are dependent on the angle of the sun.

Adding lights to the room affects the two lit walls but has marginal effects on the dark walls. Should not adding dynamic lights inside the room resolve the problem or am I doing something wrong?

Almost all of the pre-defined shaders of A7 can't handle more than 2 or 3 lights. Because they are written for shader model 2.0 (Most of them are useless anyway) You have to extend the shader to support more lights (8 max). This requires shader model 3.0, but that should be no problem nowadays...

I did a few more experiments altering the Sun values and it seems that the walls inside the room will react to dynamic lights only if the Sun is facing that direction! No matter what direction I set the Sun to, there will always be at least one dark wall!

Can someone explain how I might be able to correct this?
