Hello Conitec,
Hello JCL,

finally the open-source handheld "Pandora" is available for purchase. It`s the most powerful handheld out there and can handle complex 3D graphics aswell as 2D rendering. For me as a hobbyist Acknex developer with a bigger 3D project, the Pandora seems to be very interesting for porting my game to the platform. I`m afraid that Acknex is a Windows and x86-only engine not supporting Linux and ARM-based Processors.
A few weeks ago you talked about porting Acknex to mobile phones or mobile consoles. Is there a chance support ARM, Linux and the Pandora aswell or don`t you see Acknex on that plaform in the future?

Thanks for your patience,
Rondidon

hmm, predecessors of pandora was not so-successful, pandora is also yet to prove successful. By successful i mean both amount and quality of the games so far and the support it's gaining from big developers and of course the sales number of the devices.

So far to my understanding it's on pre-order in 3 countries, UK, Germany,Turkey. Costs nearly as much as a new PSP.

They also note that there will be only 4000 limited production and you should not preorder the device if you do not fully comprehend what it is and it's mainly aimed at developers.

At this point android support may be more useful since there is already millions of android users, the market is less-crowded(more opportunity than the appstore), and people are actually using this devices, and it is also a open-soure system.

also, looks like the pandora device can also boot android so you'd be cool if there was android suppport.
