Right now it is just doing a "look up" of the montsky+6.tga. There is plenty of work to do on it.... lots of ideas I'd like to figure out. However.... it only took how many months to get this far?? So who knows what else will happen! Hope this runs on some geforce cards, too.

BTW- how did you get the envmap to render properly on a flat plane?? I've had lots of issues trying to get this to work...
By driving myself nuts!!! No, actually~ alot of reading and tinkering. The HLSL spawned an idea.
I would probably be posting the code whenever I can get the thing unmangled. Then you'll see better and may even improve on it.
I never saw Morrowind, but always hear about it. Should check it out.

this is simple. by calculating a separate view vector for each vertex, the resulting reflection vectors will be different at each vertex and point to different locations in the cube map.

Hehe, just a moment too late ventilator . Seeing it got the gears a-turnin in my head and I just got it . Thanks though!
EDIT: lol, and I just saw the posting of the env shader that Steempipe just posted... I went through getting it working just to find the code was already around here
