Looks really good, but one thing that stings in my eye as someone who lived on an island for a long time:

Waves don't always move in the same direction when you move away from the shore. But I guess that's computational limitation so you don't end up with a low framerate.

thats amazing, its so realistic. do you need any other programs besides 3dgs for this?

thanks for the all comments guys.

When are you going to release it?

i don't know.
Quote:

Can you please make a shot from the shorelines?

yes but there is nothing special about shorelines for now. It looks ordinary.

A demo would be cool, to see this in action and if it is working with most graphic cards.

it's only working on graphics cards that support sm3.
Quote:

Will you be adding any additional ripples/splashes effects for entities passing through?

no.

right, unfortunately there is nothing i can do for it.

just one dll file for dynamic noise. but that's not necessary. you can use any tileable texture for wave.

maybe i didn't understand Michael_Schwarz's words exactly because of my poor english. There is a problem about the wave because of the vertex limitation. If the camera away from the waves, some problems occur. that's not about how many waves on the surface.

No, you understood me right. It just looks that the noise which makes the waves has a "direction" it moves to. But that is not what happens in real life.

Ahh.. You're absolutely right. Because stream is a little fake. i have to use fft instead of perlin for more realism. Thank you, Michael.
