hi there,
in a gameproject, im working on i am using a .ttf font.
but i just know how to use it, if its installed. this works fine, but is there a way to use this font without installing it??

No, but I know there used to be a DLL that could let you install/uninstall TTF fonts for use in game.

There is no dll needed, he can use the WinAPI for this.

Do you have an example of this?
I have never used the WinAPI myself, but am interested in how it would work.

I know a way with the Rpg-maker XP.. dunno if it works with A7/A8 too..

The rpg-maker xp has a script, wich installs fonts from the gamefolder, into the systemfont folder right at the gamestart.
So there´s no need to install them manually..


Perhaps it´s possible with A7/A8.. i would be interested in such a Script too.
