Hi all.

This is an ugly question, for an ugly situation I find myself in...

Is there any way of accessing the filename of a external texture
being used by an MDL?

That is, if you open MED and look at the skin-setting under textures,
and there is an EXTERNAL file being used as the texture,
Is there any way of retrieving this filename via lite-c after loading the
model as an entity.

I would prefer not to use the SDK if possible.

If the MDL File is loaded in the memory buffer, you will find the first skin just after the model header, at offset baseskin = 0x54.

Thanks for the suggestion Rojart, but I dumped this entire concept.

Were I sucessful, it would have made life difficult at later stages...
