How about a script function which allows us to store entities and/or meshes directly to MDL or BMP?

So to say the reverse of ent_create().

would be very nice!
Maybe I would never use it, but there are situations where such a function is actually needed...
...like when someone would ever like to convert A3 projects grin

For this I would need save_scene() or staticmesh_create() wink

I would like to see this feature for pupils that then can easily modify a given mesh, f.i. a character and save it as a new model.

maybe this very simple obj exporter is useful in the meantime?

...
(in my opinion the mdl7 lib should be changed to a pure c-api so that it can be used directly from lite-c.)

Although this is a really nice solution, I need the mdl file format, because I would like to keep the animations.

BTW, saving blended bones animations would be nice too. That way, f.i. one could mix different walk animations and save them as a unique new walk animation.

BTW 2, is it possible to save from a game directly into a wrs?
(Sorry, ot. Maybe, I should start an own thread for this.)

obj export does not sound all that bad.
I'll have to take a look.
