the HUD is for the demo only, they confirmed that.
well, the style is give or take for most. i love it. i really do. its like nintendo planted a bug in my living room with the style.
thing is, the wii is not as weak as msot people think. i mean look at mario galaxy. the game wont look better on an HD console. it would have a higher resolution but everything else would look the same.
the lego titles look the same on wii as they do everywhere else.
so does de-blob 2.
the conduit proved wii can handle itself in the shooter department aswell, so does conduit 2 and so did goldeneye.
resident evil darkside chronicles looks amazingly stunning.
so its definately not the hardware they used to choose the style. and lets face it, we know NOTHING about the game. you dont know how theg ame turns out.
we heard snippets. nothing more. out of context sentences that could mean anything.
also, to be honest, i think that discussing the graphics here is kinda like comparing women. its a matter of taste, really. however detail wise, skyward sword owns twilight princess hard.
i, too can, choose nice pics and here are two:
Hyrule...
also hyrule...
look at the details. the new hyrule is once again a vast living world where everything works together to create a living piece of art. the TP hyrule is nice, but its empty. i mean play the game. the overworld is huge but most of it is empty fields. not even a bush for miles. just a few rocks and grass.
look at the trailers. in the new game, there is not one single scene where the environemtn is empty or bland. TP had a lot of bland scenes. like the horseback battle against the warg riders. elding bridge was pretty much a long block textured with a brick texture.
dont get me wrong, i love TP. i ranked it amongst my favourite zelda games.
but skyward sword has much more detail. it may be hard to spot for someone who dislikes the graphics style, but believe me, the detail is there. it just blends better with the environemnt.
you can quote me on that: i bet you in ten years, people will regard Skyward Sword as one of the most visually appealing games of this generation. and rightfully so. it is a piece of art in itself.
lastly, look at those unrelated pics and tell me you do not think they look georgeous:
