I think it was a good idea to have this aiming via pointing the remote an the screen and things like that but I have the feeling that many puzzles will now be about Wii remote "minigames". I imagine unlocking some doors will require movement of the wii remote, but that's as far as I can see it go at this point.

And Oracle of X's were not as good as the rest, seriously. Compare it to Links Awakening or Minish Cap... Minish Cap was freaking awesome.
Minish Cap better than the Oracles?! WHAT. Spike, is "ST" really "Spirit Tracks"? Because if you placed those over the Oracles, I recommend replaying the Oracles because unlike Spirit Tracks, those games were fun. And not destroyed by an awful, boring overworld-on-rails-mechanic with instant-game-over-enemies. I haven't finished Spirit Tracks. I like many aspects of it, but they really, REALLY messed up the overworld in that game. No fun at all, a giant chore to go from one place to the next. And you placing that above the Oracles!? Link's Awakening ... I give you that. Mechanically and gameplaywise, the Oracles are better, but Link's Awakening is filled with character and even humor (though it is a lot more childish than I remembered...) - I guess with LA and the Oracles, it comes down to taste (SUBROSIANS FTW!!). But as far as the rest goes - You guys are dead to me. DEAD TO ME!!!!* * - Nah, just kidding. It's just that you're wrong about Zelda

Perhaps this post will get me points for originality at least.

Oh god. Now I'll probably spend some time on Youtube, clicking from one related video to the next, listening to the entire Soundtrack of those games. Man, remember Maple? Most awesome mechanic ever or MOST AWESOME mechanic ever?! A shame no other Zelda-game has that

funny that you are telling ME i am wrong about zelda. I live, breath and bleed zelda man. yo bitches! its a matter of taste really. i dislike alot of stuff in the oracle games just for taste. see, every zelda game is awesome. but sometimes, they fail at nailing my tastes. like the oracle games. i disliked the music, i HATED the dancing minigames like nothing before, i HATED the fact that the minigames you ahve to do to finish the games were SH!T, i hated the three animal friends link has, i hate the colour schemes and visuals and i hate the way the story is told. i do love the story however (i love the story but hate how its told) and the connectivity between games. i like spirit tracks. i like driving the train. i like the music, the dungeons and the mechanics in the game. and minish cap is brilliant. almost everything in the game shines. its too short though...

am i the only one who like the graphics? I think the graphics somehow fail at the concept stage. Well let's face it - the Wii cannot deliver spectacular graphics due to its weak GPU. Twilight princess managed to disguise this flaw by having nice textures which took your attention away from the low poly environment. Then we had Wind Waker which was about cartoonish i.e. cel shaded graphics. Here you didn't mind the graphics because low res textures as well as low poly environments were disguised by things in general having uniform colored faces and things like that... Now with Skyward Sword they tried to cross breed both styles and I think this concept is flawed. The general perception of the graphics just have to go down the bucket. You neither have good cartoon textures now nor do you have very well drawn textures giving you a feel of detail. What you get instead are textures which look like they're blurred or washed out in some way because you cannot create detailed textures like in Twilight Princess nor can you create highly unicolored textures like in Wind Waker. In the end you pretty much get the disadvantages from both styles and only very little advantages... The Gamescom demo featured a forest like scene and it was pretty bad looking. The textures were very blurry (i.e. they seemed that way as the nicely detailed Twilight Princess style wasn't aimed for) and weren't really nice to look at. Just as in the trailer you don't get the impression of a modern game but just something from the early Gamecube times... So for me it's a fail at the visual style, the music isn't half as catchy as you'd expect it from a Zelda game and I fear that they exchanged quite some good parts which are about exploring the dungeons for a row of Wii Remote minigames. I still have some hopes that certain things just are some bad first impressions but will turn out good in the end. It remains to be seen...
