You can set TRANSPARENT and ALPHA to entity.

yes that worls but throws no static shadows a block does.
And you can assign a material to a block - e.g. a translucent shader.

Just write an translucent action. But I guess, it will not cast a shadow, I guess.

In the pixel shader adjust the Color.a value to your needs befor returning it.
