Hello again, I am here with another issue. It seems if my game exceeds 123 resources/objects during startup, I get this...


Compiling MAIN.C - [ESC]to abort...........................................................................................................................
<>
MAIN.C (): Cant open "whatevr file"
..........
MAIN.C (): WDL Syntax error -
... 1.340 sec
2 runtime errors
Startup failure - any key to abort


After some trial and error, I realized it only happens when I have more than 123 resources/objects on startup. Is there any way I can eliminate this problem?

wdl is the old c-script, you cant use wdl files with the free lite-c version.

Thats just it, im not using the old WDL script. There isnt even a .wdl file anywhere in my project folder! I am using liteC with A7.86 comm

Also, I was mistaken, its 125 objects. Sorry.

you can try this from the manual:

max_entities = 1000; // allows up to 1000 Entities.
level_load("test.wmb");
wait(2);

There is no such limit as 128 objects. Are you sure none of your scripts have the extension .wdl? Do they all have the extenceion .c?


Always learn from history, to be sure you make the same mistakes again...

path-problem? Write a main.wdl with

PATH "code";
PATH "models";
....


with all your resource-folders
and put this main.wdl in your project-folder

Exactly Chrisp1, Im using LC. There are ABSOLUTELY no .wdl files in my project.I should also mention I am using Helghasts Super Menu II as a menu base, as the menu images are whats being loaded in the b beginning. Is there a limited number of images or something? Again, I only get this error when my startup objects are more than 125
