hey everyone! here is a mini update to my game if anyone is interested. Grass! It shows a simple grass action that has each grass clump affected by wind direction, as well as being pushed aside if a player or AI touches the grass clump. Farthest clumps are deactivated and do not animate, and only clumps closest to the camera will be affected by characters shoving their way through  I should be able to replace the grass with clumps of flowers or any other detail plants. Im thinking of making some flowers that randomly drop some petals when shaken enough by wind turbulence  Simple Hair! The hair physics is just a simple math equation taken from wikipedia and articles of spring particles. I mentioned before about how to go about making a particle overshoot its target position. The reason why was because I wanted somewhat realistic secondary animation effects for characters. With this spring physics, I am able to add in, hair and ponytail physics, breast physics, simple rope/chain physics, and maybe even simple cloth. All of the above possibilities can be affected by wind to whatever degree preset. There is also a simple collider system that can affect the spring particles. This was made for the potential of giving a character a sash that will be pushed aside from their thigh... let me know what you think! VIDEO!! Great !
I like a lot this character even if pacehorlder , it's colors reminds, volumes, reminds me me in some way some game like "Luigi Mansion" but in a realistic way !
The optimisation on grass, just animate the nearest, indeed you'll gain lot of power processing !
The grass wind is really good, better than on some AAA games ! The grass interaction and hair interaction are great, these sort of details brings a lot to game ! This is polished work : )
Do you activate grass interaction only when camera is near or all the time ?
I've seen the other demo you posted on turrets : impressive ! Keep it up !
Well perhaps one day you'll share some code ?

Grass Effect looks very stunning. Does the grass models have animations and bones or is the effekt a shader?
