Thanks, now I have some time to check it.

If this works, can I compile the ackphysx.dll with nVidia PhysX SDK 2.8.4 or we need to use the old SDK 2.8.3 version due to licensing?

As far as I know, you would have to re-license your project regardless of version number, as long as you're using the SDK itself. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Maybe A8 is restricted with DLLs due to licensing, because in 2.8.4, developers must additionally add the PhysXCore.dll with the application 'locally', in the directory where the .exe is located.

When you use the nVidia SDK - no matter if 2.8.3 or 2.8.4 - you must fulfil nVidia's SDK license conditions. Basically, you need to inform nVidia when your project is published, additionally to the other deployment conditions like displaying the nVidia logo on package and splash/credit screens.

Theoretically, all PhysX versions are supposed to be backwards compatible, so 2.8.4 should work.

Thank you for a clear and more detailed explanation!

That means, when I compile a new 2.8.4 ackphysx.dll eg. with fixed var intern_collision bug, then I can share this in the forum, right?

And you need to inform nVidia.

But if you notice a general bug, you could share the source with jcl to implement it into the "official" ackphysx.dll wink
