Then again I think conitec should just spend a few bucks to have some better looking default textures and models.

Nah. I think the bucks would be the way to go. A contest will bring together many different styles, sizes, level of details, some better and some not-as-great models. Besides, there's loads of people with good modeling skills here, but hardly any who do all the modeling, texturing and animation in a professional quality.
That being said, I love watching modeling contests, so sure, go ahead

So Conitec should pay for a pack of consistent models with one style? Then we're all forced to make a game with that specific style .

But the "current" GStudio objects (witch, warlock, guard) have all the same style.
I don't believe, that this will change.
