Hello,
I have been using A7 comm for the past 3 years and decided to upgrade to A8 comm.
But I am having problems, even though I don't get any error messages no script is running with my new A8comm.

I have observed that when not placing my old "ack6c.key" file in the new A8 folder the scripts do run fine (but its working in trial/free mode I assume).
But when I place my old "ack6c.key" (that I have been using fine for A7) in my new A8 folder and click "help->about" it will display my info as if it was working, but when I try to run the code I just see the engine loading screen and it exits before openning the engine window withought running the script.

I also noticed in the "acklog.txt" file when I get this problem it says "Trial Edition 30 days left" as if it didnt recognize my .key file, but if i select "help->about" it does display my info & user/pass.

Also if I try to publish & compile an exe the exe never gets created...

When purchasing I got 3 emails.
The first saying the purchase was being revised, and then the other two emails: one confirming the purchase with info on the transaction etc, and the other email giving me a download lik for A8.

I never got a new "ack6c.key" file with any of the emails. I was not worried about it though, since during the purchase I was required to provide my old user/pass information. After I got the revising/validating email, and then the two purchase confirmation & download link emails (withought any "ack6c.key" files) I thought mabe the old file was supposed to be used and the user/pass was somehow authorized to be used in A8. But it seems it is not and mabe I should have been sent a new/updated "ack6c.key"?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thankyou in advance for your time and patience.

Trying to unlock A8 with an A7 key doesn't work, you should have gotten a new .dta file from your A8 Comm purchase, use this instead. I cant answer the question about your purchase trouble though, better email the shop where you purchased it or wait for an advice from Conitec.

Spirit is correct, but here is MY experience too... trouble-free BTW.

Made the upgrade purchase (A7 comm to A8 comm), suppying A7 rego details.

MINUTES later, first email confirming purchase.
SAME TIME got another email with the A8 download links.
Both these emails from the sales-vendor.

THREE days later, got an email FROM CONITEC with my new key as an ATTACHEMENT.

hope this helps...

Thanks for the info.
EvilSOB you were right, I read your message and waited to see what happens. I was worried since I recieved those other 3 emails withought a key file and thought something might have gone wrong, but I got a fourth email right now from conitec with a "key8c.dta" file.
