The 'plushy' effect would do a good job in old dusty rooms of an abandoned hotel in a horror game. Don't know, how fast the shader is to fill a whole room with it, though.

I thought I made it quite clear...the presentation even starts with a simple diffuse shading (right one in the pic) to show the difference. frown
But perhaps it simply looked so natural to you that you havenīt recognized itīs awesomeness tongue

viewing it in crosseye makes the velvet effect pretty awesome laugh
