hi all,

i am new to GS community and starting with A8 trial, but got serious problem in the very beginning.

when i import my models exported from max 2011 64bit (tried *.fbx, *.obj, *.3ds) into MED everything is ok but when i load em into game (ent_create...) models corrupt - seems like z sorting problem or corrupted normals dunno see picture plz, it happens even with default sphere from max without mapping.
when i tried to use models from samples everythink is ok.

thx in advance for nay clue whats wrong

1st: has the model an animation? If yes.. look if the arms are animated into the body.. looks like that ^^

2nd: click in MED => Object => Transform Global => Center Model, to set its origin (these 3 green lines) to its center.

3rd: looks like your model is shown behind the floor. sure that it is set on the right position?

4th: What means this red circle on the floor?

Inverted Normals, seen that more than once when imported from MAX.

Select all vertices, and click "Flip Normals" in MED

3)position is correct but it computes wrong z depth dunno why
4) terrain also partially (not all r wrong) shows back faces

inverted normals possibly, but it happens only with several ones and as u see from picture female body is covered by terrain that should be under, positions r correct and entity is static without any action

be sure that your model has a 24Bit skin: object->manage skins->select your skin->skin settings->texture format->check 24bit and press ok.

Also it seems you don't have merged your vertex in order to get goraud shading, to achivie this go to vertex mode, click on select all and click on merge
