That sounds as if you forgot to declare vecTime. The following line is already there:
Code:
float4 vecLightColor[8];


Right after that line insert:
Code:
float4 vecTime;


Does that fix the error message?

yes it does, thanks man, ive only started looking at shaders recently, didnt think i would have to declare vecTime, anyways, thanks much, this helps us alot more than you'd think ^^
