(worst thing happening could be heavy disputes about how the collected money is to be used or returned)

When a fixed funding has reached its deadline without reaching its funding goal, every backer will be refunded. Of course I would go this route.

For models, localization and professional voice over artists.
Besides that, I´ll have to work 24/7 to spit out a new version in a reasonable time frame.
