Some 3D tiles :

Only a 1024*1024 texture shared by all 3D tiles (optimization) laugh

add more complex variations on your models to get an more complex look. this type looks kinda undetailed...

I don't target more detailled than that for the moment :

Like Error014, i target simple retro style for the moment !
I'll add complexity by putting for example a second or three floors of 3D tiles and bigger 3D tiles (4*4 tile matching others) laugh

I added 3D rocks polygons to wall laugh

Hand painting textures, modifying , adjusting 3D tiles = long hours ....

So much problems with edge extrusion, than recalculate normals outside ? unwrap on some faces, but the painting don't work, even directly on texture ? ? vertex problems ? frown

----------
More complex graphics = lot more time spend.
So my rule now is : KEEP GRAPHICS SIMPLE (Like Dungeon Dities) !
I bet on gameplay, fun, cool world : places/NPC , puzzles, dungeons and fun than graphics.

What's about the puzzle pieces? Do you have to catch them to put them together?

Creating a small generator to generate maze-like
Grids where entities gets placed on the maze-like
grid which can produce mazed-paths for dungeons/
streets/caves/pipes or whatever else there is i have
not thought about..in this generator i use tiles or
cells if u will, i create random mazelike structure
with it and find all cell/tile walls that forms corners
and t-junctions and + intersections and straight
areas to put the requered model in place as needed
and the grid gets scaled on the size of the straight
model segment and by the wanted number of cells
...so that segments join up nicely provided its moddelled acuaratly
..while experimenting i easily constructed a random generated
small city with streets and buildings(on cell positions)

Compulsive compiler

I make GTA4 city generator wher i place buildings, vehicles etc ... (just kidding)
Have you some screenshots ? (it's this thread main purpose laugh )

------------

Ok i runned my test level, on 3DGS with polygon collision flag, no problem on good PC, i'll test on my laptop the performance also !

Now the other problem is the lightening :
How to avoid that and have all colors like in WOW game for example ?

I don't want the shadows of the shading, must i use a cartoon shader (no other choice it seems ) ?
