No, I'm not. Your argument is perfectly fine and valid. I just have different preferences in this case. To me the clarity of code and the module separation is just more important than performance. Of course you can put all the game's logic in one big loop. But if that is good decision in terms of code maintenance is a different story. And I don't think that having a second task for the scheduler will result in any measurable slowdown. If you take your own argument overly serious you should also have only one single function and do not waste any time or memory on calling other functions.

No, I'm not saying that having one additional loop for camera, will result in any measurable slowdown.. And I use about 3-4 loops for the hole game, one for player, GUI and other in game adjustable stuff, one for all environment entities (particles, fading stuff and blahblahblah), one for debug (disabling this one, when publishing) and the last one for NPC. And I guess this is pretty fast, at least for my knowledge grin

Ok, more precisely, the overall cost of the additional task for the scheduler is negligible in terms of speed as well as memory requirements for me. tongue
