Hey Sajeth! I am using models and sprites, all in the A6 engine. I am using everything I can inside Acknex, everything is technically homebrew, no DLL's or anything, just C-Script. (that old language)

Have you decided on the story and the level structure (linear, non-linear but one level after the other, Metroid style open-world) yet?

Hey Superku! I have a very rough story in place, and making a few storyboards with it. The games level progress will be linear, one lever after another, but sprinkled with some hidden levels that will continue back on the main level progression path.

It isnt the best choice for player freedom, but its easier for me to implement, just like the Classic DooM games.

Hey everyone, small update. Ive added new AI controlled tanks to Sergeant Rampage!

The tanks have High armor, armed with Heavy Machine Guns, High Explosive Shells, Armor Piercing Guided rockets, IR Smoke Countermeasures! Destroyed tanks will also release the pilot, who will act like normal infantry!

Watch in slow mo how the guided rockets target tanks, as well as being misdirected by IR flares. Soldiers get gibbed in slo mo too!

OMG grin This game is going crazy man! In the best way, that word crazy can ever mean! laugh
Are you planning to make a multiplayer out of it, or will it be published as single player only?

Few things:
* tanks are strafing? it looks like they are shaking and even strafing sometimes.. looks strange
* tank rotates itself? Instead of rotating it's upper part.. it looks like the whole tank rotates (too fast).
* cause of the dark screen and lots of smoke/explosions I couldn't understand what is going on grin
* is there a slow motion effect? or is it just me, too sleepy? grin

Please, keep this awesome game up! laugh

Cool, a new video! I like the effects again and how the enemies get torn into pieces. However, I have to say that I'm not a big fan of the darkness and I currently don't like the tanks very much. I see that you've tried to go with a style and esp. a perspective that fits to the rest of the game/ the characters, but I think a full isometric style, maybe as follows, would look better:

The problem with your current perspective is IMO that it looks a little weird when the tank rotates and I strongly dislike it that the tank does not always face the direction it shoots (not only from a visual but from a gameplay perspective, too). The way the tanks move is not on par with the rest of the game, too. They should only drive forward or backward, not to the side or wobble around like in the video.
Sorry for the rather negative feedback but I hope this helps you improve the game. wink

not at all superku! Thank you for giving me your honest critique! I also feel the tanks look very strange in their movement and perspective. I will look into ways to see if I can fix or alleviate these problems without doing an overhaul when it comes to sprite handling. Thank you for taking a look!
