Hi all, I'm new here, just registered and need some guidance in getting started. I've downloaded Zorro 1.12 and wanted to play around with it a bit. I downloaded the historical data from the website and saved it to Zorro's history folder, as per the instructions, but when I try to test Z1 or Z2 etc., it tells me p"price historymissing". In the history folder there are only prices for EURCHF 2011-2013, EURUSD 2002-2013, USDJPY 2008-2013 and XAG 2008-2013. As I said, I downloaded the historical data from the website.

Thanks for the help.

If you were not successful in downloading and unzipping the historical data to the history folder, please try again. You need some basic PC knowledge for downloading and handling files. I can not see from here what went wrong, but if you still have no success, please describe what you did step by step - I'll help.

Hi, it still doesn't work. I downloaded the files, saved them to the history folder and there the above-mentioned currency files appeared. The mentioned files are all .bar files. There are also some .dta files (Assets, AssetsFix, AssetsMicro, AssetsMini, AssetsUS), which are all locked. Likewise the EURCHF 2013, EURUSD 2013, USDJPY 2013 and XGUSD 2008, 2009 and 2013 .bar file are locked. The XAGUSD 2008 and 2009 are empty. If it's possible to post an image, I can show you what appeaded in the histort folder.

When you save files to a folder, they are in the folder afterwards - so your attempts to put the files into the history folder have apparently not been successful. Did you open the downloaded zip folder, and did you see the files inside? How did you save them to the history folder - drag and drop? Did you use the Windows file explorer or some other program?

The first time I simply saved the downloads to the History folder, whihc resulted in what I described above. Now I've saved the downloadds to a download folder and unzipped them there, then moved them to the history folder. Now they're all there as .bar fies, but I still get the notice when runing the test "[asset type] not available - continue?" for each asset (in the case of testing Z1) or "Asset [asset type] not found" for each asset (in the case of testing Z2).

Ok, can you then post a screenshot of your history folder content?

Sure, how do I add a file? Don't see an option anywhere.

Ok, you've now successfully copied the downloaded files into the history folder, but somehow have deleted all other files inside it. The asset files are all gone.

So, next attempt. Install Zorro again, in the same folder. That will restore the deleted asset files. Then testing Z1 and Z2 should work.
