Is it possible to project a panel on a skin?

First obtain the skin of the entity: http://www.conitec.net/beta/abmap_for_entity.htm

Then you can render on that skin by setting a panel's targetmap to that skin:
http://www.conitec.net/beta/target_map.htm

There is even an example on what you want to do on the second manual page.
