The moment I read the above, I got a cunning idea to install Zorro on a shared (network) disk, so that I could easily access scripts and other Zorro files from my primary operating system. And it went great, and I'm so happy. I really had no idea that Zorro could run from anywhere, so thank you jcl for the hint.

But, today I noticed first issue with this setup, when I launch Help from the Zorro, the chm file gets opened, the index is read, but there's nothing in the right pane (no actual content). At first I thought that chm file is possibly built in a way that prevents linking content when chm file is on the network drive, but it's nothing like that.

As it turns out, it's yet another Windows quasi-we-know-better-security (mis-)feature. You shall not opet help file from the network drive, because it's dangerous. So silly...

Fortunately, there's a quick fix described here: http://www.helpandmanual.com/products_hhreg.html

On the bright side, Zorro itself really works flawlessly from the network drive, and it makes me very happy. wink

Well, it allows Z's to reveal it's full potential, uninterrupted. grin

Jokes aside, after the events last summer, when I had to restart Zorro's few times a day, this now is bliss. I can leave it for days unattended, and when I come back, everything is still up & los^H^Hrunning. Nirvana! grin
