Hi. Is there a list of the (FXCM) API error messages and what they really mean? After Weekend when trading resumed, at midnight Z3 failed to open an XAU/USD trade and the Broker message is "Order - instrument is not available for trading". First time I've seen this one, and don't see any news about a trading halt...

I had asked FXCM some time ago and was informed that the error messages are self explaining, so there is no need for a list. Go figure...

Thanks jcl. I was afraid that would be the answer. Any chance of sending this one to the FXCM contact for an explanation? Of course I understand what the words mean, but don't get how that relates to the market or what really happened...

I know this message, it means that the asset is not traded at this time. Markets of different instruments close or open at a different time, so maybe the XAU market was just not yet open at that time. Or it was open, but there was no quote.

Thanks jcl. This is 1.26 Z3, and it has now happened again this Monday. 2 Mondays in a row (and no open attempts any other day). Does your Z3 show this same behavior? Or did it successfully open trades last Monday and today?

Hi jcl. 2 updates:

1) After closing an XAG/USD trade for a large loss, a new XAG/USD trade was opened last night. So the problem seems to be either with XAU/USD or with Mondays.

2) I've also posed the question to FXCM, and they are requesting the API logs. Where do I find them? Also, they are asking what API is being used?
