Hallo Punker,

Dear Sam, thanks.. yes it is still progressing.. just a few more things to do and then I will hand it over to the scripter.

Viele Grüße
Best regards
Rince

Hallo,

Hi all,
..another step towards completion is done: all mission screens have been inserted. A major change to the previous version: The mission screens do no longer just pop up and linger on the screen for a while but can now be displayed and deleted ad lib.
Music and sound effects will be the next step.

Viele Grüße

Thanks Jamie.. this is more than I deserve :-)

A new version will be available around christmas.. but it still will be a pre-version. By this time, my part of the work will be finished and I will send the game files to a real talented programmer, who will look over the code and enhance 9t to make the game more fun.

I will make some levels available for download, when I am finished. Currently, I started inserting the sound effects and composing the music - especially the title theme.

As soon as I have sent the files to the programmer, I will resume "Final Dawn" again. I will tweak the background story a little and make some better levels than now. This will be my project for next year.

As soon as the code has been polished, I will either publish the game myself (with the game being available for free - I will just have to charge the costs of the CD, packaging and transport) or it will be released by a publisher that is potentially interested (which will be the same price, as due to his large volume scale and the game being a budget title, he is able to distribute the game for about the same price that I would have to charge). Yet it is all still very open. Just one thing is for sure: The game will be released in the first quarter of next year.

Best regards

Very impressive indeed. You really are moving fast with this, and the quality is excellent.
Best regards,

this is looking very cool since when I last saw it. The video was good, I liked the little funny bit with the introduction of Alex with this over the moon grin on his face. Can't wait for the final release and I wish you the best in completing this potential filled project

Thank you Matt.. you're all being too kind. I think there is still a lot, I could do better. There are so many great projects around here that I just adore, like the screens from Zapans new project.

Alex and Paul liked the intro sequence too. They are really nice guys and great friends and that's basically why I made them become game characters. They were so proud when they saw that they showed the trailer on a widescreen TV monitor in their bar, which was packed with people. It was a good feeling to make them happy.

Apart from that, graphics aren't everything. The gameplay is even more important I think and without the help I receive from some people here, I wouldn't be able to complete it.

Currently, I'm working on the music. I will post some excerpts from the soundtrack, when it's done.

Thanks and best regards to beautiful Australia

Hallo Xtreme,

thanks.. the textures are quite sharp.. I think it is due to the jpg format and the lighting that makes them look a bit blurry.
