I'm trying to set up the IG plugin but unable to get it running.

Could anyone advise on what potential error sources are?

After following all steps IG just does not appear in the scrollbox.

Also how exactly do we have do edit the key??

Is this the right format?

plugin.realApiKey=e770c78c334fd######plugin.demoApiKey........

Thanks

If you don't even see IG in the scrollbox, the most obvious reason would be that you don't have Java SDK 32 bit installed, or you have installed it but not set correct values for you PATH variables. Check the steps 1 and 2 outlined under "General installation" here:

Thanks for your advice Dalla.

I installed the 32 bit version and also changed the evironment paths, sell below:

C:Program Files (x86)Javajre1.8.0_141jrebin
C:Program Files (x86)Javajre1.8.0_141jrebinclient

Btw, the backslashes are for some reason not shown in above lines.

Did I do it right or are there any issues?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

By the path it looks like your downloaded and installed the JRE rather than the JDK. It needs to be the JDK, found here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html

Thanks so much for your patience! Many beginner mistakes ...

I de-installed and advised and IG shows up in the account scrollbox.

Could you please advise further?

I created a demo account and a demo key (status: enabled).
I also changed the username for the demo account as instructed.

With the text editor I changed the key in application.properties:

plugin.realApiKey=e770c78c334fdbe#####plugin.demoApiKey=33daf378cb1f1462c860c5823cb0ef36369274b0plugin.realApiUrl=https://api.ig.com/gateway/dealplugin.demoApiUrl=https://demo-api.ig.com/gateway/dealplugin........

Is it typed in correctly? I don't quite understand the instructions in the manual.

When using Demo, IG, my username and my password, Zorro can't connect.

Any idea what is wrong?

Thanks so much.

Cheers

Check the log in the IG plugin directory. That should give you a hint as to why you can't connect. Also I would recommend editing the properties file in wordpad, notepad++ or similarly, not notepad.

Hi Dalla,

Thanks a lot! Using notepad++ made it much easier.

I got it working.

Are guaranteed or normal stop-losses set by default?
Is there a way to select one type over the other?

Cheers

Stop losses are currently normal, and there is no way to change that. Might be something to add in a future update, though I'm not sure if there are any further restrictions to using guaranteed stops that would affect Zorro in some way.
