lol, me and my friend discuss that all the time, how useless highschool was. it is messed up that you have to do so many assignments and so many lessons on the same damn topic just because the rest of the students in the school are mentally handicapped useless know nothings who wont put it to use anyways, it shouldn't be my problem that they can't catch up.

to me high school should be blown off, then 1 year of community college should be taken to get your transcripts in a better position, then you can start looking for a college that will actually teach you something.

why do I need to learn such a lot stuff I´ll never need again in a world where it is essential to be specialised?
I´m now nearly 20 and know what I want and that´s what should be normality but it isnt and so I´ve to learn useless crap with all this semi-retarded suckers around me frown

Even if I forgot many many things I once learned, I'm now able to catch them up by having a look at a book. It's easier to refresh lost knowledge than to learn it from anew.
Also all the learning helped me to be able to handle new stuff and think about solutions on my own.
People who never were forced to learn on their own are helpless in such cases.

Good point, firoball!
Now an advice from an even older 'grandpa' like me! grin
Another thing that you get from learning stuff that you don't seem to need ever are the pattern of that stuff. Different areas of knowledge 'work' different, and could offer you concepts for solutions when you don't expect that.
The elite universities are bringing together specialists from different subjects, because the exchange of their different knowledge leads to more flexible thinking and faster and unexpected solutions, that they don't get, if they stuck on their subject related knowledge only.

the point is not that I feel uninterested in biologie and physics and such a stuff,
but it´s annoying that I HAVE to learn it and that I´ve to write tests so that they can rate my 'value' as pupil

funny thing for me is that in school i am being taught french, german and english (literacy) all in the same day, one after the other.

i don't need french cause i don't.

German is handy because quite alot of people here are german - but i can already speak everything the teacher says to me. sometimes i think i know more than him

and english is handy because i need very decent grammar for game design.

i am excelling beyond everyone else in my classes.

and i must admit, ever since i began to use 3DGS my grades have been going up higher than they were

regards,
michael
