I have just updated to A8 (yes ... I know, it's been way too long)

My game uses draw_line3D a lot, to render all the objects. It worked good in A7. However, in A8, while it runs fine, the lines seem to stop getting drawn when there are too many.

I increased max_particles to compensate for this, and this worked in A7. However, A8 seems to prevent more than a five thousand line draws. Outside of max_particles, is there some other cause for a limit like this?

Ah, fixed it!
Max_particles needs to be set before the first wait.

In A7 this did not seem to be the case.
