Ok. This is apparently an issue with the MT4 server setup of that broker. For a workaround, edit your z.ini file and set BrokerPatch = 3. Then Zorro will calculate the profits. This will produce more correct values, but they will still not 100% match the MT4 results. But it is not harmful to the strategy.
We would like to look closer into that matter. Does it only happen with a real account, or also with a demo account? Do you get error 015 with trades of any asset, or only with some assets?
Okay I'll try this workaround, thanks for your help.
These results I've posted are from running a Demo account, and it also happened earlier on a Real live account too; in fact I only started running this Demo after getting these weird errors during a live run.
And yes, the error 015 seem to happen with any asset; here's a few recent errors I just got in my Zorro log:
Error 015: trade [EUR/USD:PD:L0540] bad exit price 0.0000 [EUR/USD:PD:L0540] Sell 23@0.0: -24955 at 09:59:12 Error 015: trade [USD/JPY:PD:L0541] bad exit price 0.0000 [USD/JPY:PD:L0541] Sell 25@0.0: -25003 at 09:59:12
Hey jcl I've been running the system with brokerpatch set to 3 as per your guidance above, and you did mention that the results still wouldn't match my Mt4 results 100%... but I'm getting numbers wayy off now lol.
Zorro’s now telling me that I have an equity of -39189 and lost -49165 in the 11 days I’ve been running this under brokerpatch = 3; and yet my actual equity in this demo account has gone from about 10284 to 9299.
Considering all this, I suppose it's now safe to assume that something is off with my asset list right?
Yes. When you use BrokerPatch, then your asset list must be correct. A wrong asset list would then produce likewise wrong results. Check your asset parameters, as described here: https://manual.zorro-project.com/account.htm
