Hello - I set up my algos on IB Demo to trade my script. I noticed that the timezone is always UTC no matter what BarZone I set.

(Log 4/5th line is "!Account DU313XXXX at UTC 04-25 14:28". The current IST time is 7:58 PM)

I have noticed this behavior in Download script as well. The t6 downloaded also has UTC timestamp (cross checked converting t6 to CSV using included script). I'm fine with this behavior, just wondering if UTC is the preferred timezone? In which case I have to convert the historical data I have to UTC timezone as well before I train/test.

Yes. Historical data is always UTC unless you explicitly state a different history zone in the script.

Thanks for the reply Petra. I have converted my algos to make use of UTC. I'll be running the algos in SIM tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
