Hi, i'm going to make one of the Tutorials from WED, the first one. After i have created my Entity i gave him player_walk. Than i wanted to have a look at him, but i don't see him ( By pressing F7 to change camera view, the view has changed a little bit, but i've never seen my guy.
After that, i read some tutorials and decided to load some scripts called "camera3rd01.wdl","cameraTarget.wdl","cameraSelect.wdl","gid01.wdl","cameraFree01.wdl","display00.wdl".
So i tried again....... but the result wasn't better... now really nothing happens when i want to change my camera. I tried some changes in the customize options of the scripts, but this also changes nothing.

Could you explain me what to do, to see my guy, please

Can you show us the specific(certain) lines of your script. Maybe some lines that have do some with camera when you really don't know where are the certain lines. Search after keywords: camera.x or camera.y or camera.z in your script.

Regards,
beegee

hi

i know it's a little impolite, but maybe we can change the language into german so i can explain our problems a little bit better.

MfG

player_walk is from the A5 template scripts, while the other script files you mentioned are from the A6 templates. You can't use scripts from the A6 templates in the A5 temp.; and actually, the "Add Script" in WED only works if you're using the A6 temp. (never tried A6 temp. myself).

And then back to your problem; sorry, but I don't know what's wrong :/
When I used the A5 temp, I always used player_walk_fight instead of player_walk, and that worked fine... So try using player_walk_fight instead, though I doubt it will do a difference to the camera.

problem solved.

we didnt know that the camera is "fixed" at a location in 3rd person cam. if you increase the height of your model too much, you'll get that nice little prob.
