A way to freeze objects in WED, so that they are ignored when moving things around. I don't think its a feature already, if it is, someone point it out to me, bcz it does my nutt in when I accidently move the skybox or similiar item, like terrain.
Just me tuppence...

objects list-> right click -> render -> disable

No, I've tried it with 6.40.4 it didn't work.
The correct steps what I'm looking for should be double click the first block, ctrl + left click for others then right click->Render Style->disable.

Yeah i was really looking for some better freeze grouping options to lock out sectionds in WED in one go, for example the skybox or similiar objects. So far I get by by doing as Michael_Schwarz says, either disabling them individually or simply setting them to invisible in render options. But it would be much more useful if you could do this in bulk...
