If I create a door in WED I can't give it the "door" action because clicking properties only brings up the 2-option box, Passable & Invisible.

If I create the door from a model, it is passable by my player even if I don't check the passable box in properties.

The Porta.wmp file is not available under "Prefabs/Gates". In fact there is no "gates" folder in prefabs as the tutorial mentions. So I can't load it as a level to see how it was done. The WDL manual does not explain this.

In a nutshell: How do I make a door not passable?

Thanks for any help on this.

one most maken mistake. Open wed make a door object in it texture it an save it

now open your level and add map entitie
(the door you just created)

now you can give it the door action.

This is the way to make elevators also...

Thanks Realspawn. You left out one thing which I found in the elevator tutorial on your superfine website.

You have to "build" the door as a map entity before saving it.

I should have checked your tutorials before I posted.
