I may be able to do it, but making the animations you want are proving to be difficult with the postitions you have the bones in. Mainly only because trying to emulate the rise and fall of the character's chest as he breathes during his standing animation is hard to do because moving the bones brings his lower body up instead of the upper body down...

I'll work with it for a little while to see what I can do, though. Can't say for sure I'll get it finished. Could I rearrange some of the bones to make some of the animating easier, or do you want them in the same place?

Last question is of what quality do you want it? I know you mentioned something of it above, but I need to know how closely matched to the KH animations you need them, to make sure I don't finish it and it turns out completely differant than you intended.

Feel free to do whatever you want with the bones. I just added them because I thought they would help. As of the quality, the walk, run, jump, and stand snimations should be as close as possible. The battle wersions of walk, run, stand, and jump, should be close as well. The battle stance should be like the one sora has in reference 2, or like the one tidus had in my images.

Ok, I should be able to do it. I'll get to work on it now.

As for some other aesthetic choices you may want, do you want varied running/walking/standing/etc animations depending on the amount of damage the character has taken?
And if you use multiple weapons, do you want different animations for when he's using heavier ones, so it looks more like he's weilding something of that weight?
And do you need idle animations?
Last thing, if I use Tidus's posture for the animation, should he still run like Sora and have a transitional animation from standing to running, or have an animation based on Sora's but more in that stance?

I'll do some stuff now, but I was just wondering if you cared about any of that, since some things like those have been done in a lot of games recently to make the characters more lifelike. Though multiple animations may lead to more difficulty in the programming, depending.

Its nice to see that you are asking questions. That shows true professional talent. As for the animations, there should be two idle animation, one for basic idle and the other battle mode idle. You can add transitional frames if you want. As for multiple weapons, there wont be multiple weapons, but there will be stances. One stance should be like sora's standard form as seen in reference 2. The second should be like Tidus's stance, and the third should be a stance similar to the one roxas uses in reference 3. The stances are just different Idle animations, but the actual movement is the same. Finally, concerning the time limit, since you are the artist, I wont limit you to a time limit. Instead, I just ask that it be done by the end of july, or the middle of august. Thanks again. Keep me updated on the status of the animation so I can have a good idea of how the final product shall be. Thanks again

Alright, I've started on the walking animations. You already had one made, and I'm seeing if I can just manipulate it some to make it more fluid and a bit more lifelike, as your animation was pretty good already.
And do you know of any good links to the concept art from KH2? I was hoping for a closer pic of some of Sora's postions, and if I can see the concept art I'll have a much easier to use basis for the animations.
If you don't know about them, I can probobly find them if I search enough, or find some close up in-game screens.
And before I do the actual animations, I'll probobly do some concept sketches of the animations, and if you'd like to see those to check if it's what you want, I'll scan them and send them to you when I complete them.
And I feel like I'm asking a lot of questions, but to make the animations as close as I can, do you think the animations Sora had from Chain of Memories would be good? I can get a sprite sheet from it and set it as a background for the model editor to get the running, walking, standing, etc animations closer to what I expect you want. I thought I should ask before doing so because his positions from KH2 and Chain of Memories differ slightly. I'll do the Tidus and Roxas animations by still frames of some in game vids that I can download from multiple sites, but for Sora, the sprite sheets are much cleaner images to use than in game scenes due to the fact that there isn't the problem of working with the camera angle, they're just straight from the side.

Last question for this post, do you need the character to remain level in all animations? Because while moving him around, he may end up higher/lower than his original postion, and I was wondering if you want me to correct this by repositioning him if he moves out of place.

I'll probobly have some more questions later, but for now I think with this info I'll have enough to get everything started.

Try to go to sorasdomain.net, they have everything you need there. As for the sprites, I know a site that has them. Use the sprites from Here for reference. Also, do you think you could make attack animations like the ones on the sheet or the ones from the reference video? I could do them myself if you dont want to, its up to you. I do need the character to remain level for the animations. If you have more questions, feel free to ask.
