Here's the promised downgrade to the A5.2 engine - the last engine that supported software rendering and ran on very old machines without 3D hardware. You need a valid A6/A7 Commercial or Pro password for downloading the downgrade:

A5 setup

A5 Commercial key

A5 Pro key

The key is required for installing the setup or an A5 update.

Note that A6 levels or models won't run with the A5 engine. You'll need to use the A5 WED and MED editors for creating A5 objects.

The updates to 5.24 can be found at updcom524.exe and updpro524.exe .

Hi, I have a short question...
Is there no opportunity to use the downgrade with an existing A5 version?

Hello,

After trying the download,....
I cant get it to work properly.

Wed Crashes immediately after launching.

I'll try downloading aging to confirm
it not a bad download.

Ok... I just confirmed that it isn't a bad download
are other users experiencing problems?

Is there some special method to installing this version of
A5?

I have a very old version of A5 extra installed to
another directory... ( It works fine)

[Also if I overwrite the Acknex.exe
with the new one for Commercial it works]

[Also installing A5 Demo and re-writing all files
with commercial works]

This rules out a prob with my Computer

* I'm not really expecting any support here
other than a Clean install

I really want to see that A5 comm will run
before I buy the Pro upgrade/downgrade

you allmost have me convinced to spend
the $800 - upgrade/downgrade

Just want a clean install without copying this
pastin/editing this kind of thing.

Thanks,

Well,

What the heck....
I have waited for years for this.

The Install for Commercial is indeed corupt.

However rather than waiting for you to change your
mind again and decide not to offer it:

I'm going to go ahead and buy A6 Pro and do the downgrade.

I'll just have to take my chances with
Mix- matching components to make it work

A5 Demo + A6 Pro/downgrade key = A5 Pro

Well I hope anyway.

*Please at least tell me after the purchase you will
at least work with me if it dosn't install.

Also I have 2 Question?

1.) Well Do you offer any discounts If I buy more than I Pro?

2.) Can I purchase More than I Pro for other
team members to {Use Only) for Project and return to
me later?

3.) I just made the Pro purchase ...
I want to Personally state to
avoid Confusion...

The Volume Should be licended to me:

Joseph Nelson

However On the Engine itself I would like
it to only show my Company Name: T.D. Games.

What are the feature specifications of this A5 downgrade? As in, is true color (24-bit or 32-bit color) supported? A6 has the specifications chart, for A6, so what about A5?

Also, aren't Standard and Extra included as well (or the instructor's version)? I'm just wondering in this case.

I'm not absolutly positive... but I believe it is actually 24
so the software renderer can handle things if needed.

I doubt they have a spec chart anymore.. maybe the manual that
comes with it could be of more help?

I'll look and see if I have a spec chart as I had the Old site saved
on my drive at one time.
However it is doubtfull as I really havn't needed it
as for what I do I know it is fully capable.

I'm mainly referring to panels - 2D elements. But then again, knowing what features you get with A5 does help.
