After editing a level of mine i went to save it and it said, could not save. I closed WED down, and tried to open the level again and it now says "map3.wmp" damaged at line -1 (object#0)
um, what can i do with this, because that was a very long project?
thanks

I am not 100% sure if this is the problem, but it is worth a try. Try renaming the file so that it does not have a number at the end. I have, in the past, had problems where certian endings of file names make it do wierd things...

Again, not really sure if this will work, but it cant hurt to try.

Good luck,
Raddaddy

If your file is damaged, open the .bak file (rename it to .wmp before). It is a backup of your last editing.

It the .bak is also destroyed, the last resort is opening the $$M file. You can reconstruct your level from it, but the group information is lost.

A number in a file name can not cause a problem.

The funny thing is that it never made a .bak file.. For every other level i made it did.? wierd.. but anyway, "jcl" your way worked by renaming the .$$M file. I had to re-do a few things but now it works. Thanks alot!
