MED / Model Improvements (in development / in beta test) Automatic LOD calculation for models. Atlas mapping. Texture generator for terrain. Multiple bones per vertex, with vertex weights. Model import from FBX files.
Is FBX just for importing or can models be exported too
This is GREAT news, Conitec ROCKS

Would you be able to store the models position, scale, and rotation as well with this format? Basically exporting an entire scene of FBX models directly to be used in WED, from any program that supports FBX(Max, Modo, Maya). That would be amazing, and definitly a great step forward.

WED FBX import could later be implemented, and would then indeed be able to import a whole scene.
This would be great! I can only imagine how much this would improve the workflow of so many users. Thanks for considering.

Yes. That is really an amazing step to a better workflow. All users of Maya, XSI, Lightwave, 3ds max and even a few free packages can use this way to produce models and levels and transfer via FBX.
A scene import could even support lights and camera positions. Fantastic.

Yes the workflow would speed up, great news.
And can't wait to export from MED and import from WEB.
