i´ve improved the dll --> i´ve added 2 more functions. now these 11 functions you can use:
  • file_list
  • file_get
  • file_count
  • file_attrib
  • file_date
  • folder_list
  • folder_get
  • folder_count
  • folder_rename
  • folder_create
  • folder_del

Yes I will make it for sure. I made it in Macromedia director and the code is simmilar, only syntax differs. And I only need that feature to read HDD number.

about hard disk (HDD) & CPU information including serial.
It was possible to implement in 3DGS.
But some error was found in CPU information.
Some const.'s were changed time by time in some CPUs according to CPU state.

sry for throwing up this very old topic.
and very sry that i answer now - 1 year later blush

maybe you have no benefit for this plugin anymore, but i want to re-upload the plugin, that other users can use it.

to be sure that the plugin will be available forever, i´ve sent it to acknex unlimited. i reckon, that it will be there at the next update. and for all who cant wait (grin), i´ve attached it to this post.

i will update the plugin-section in the gamestudio-wiki soon

this is a good plugin but as i'm fairly new to plugins and all that, i got stuck, the 'manual' doesnt say much, just list the commands, i tried to count the number of files in a directory and write the result into 'debvar1' via:

debvar1 = file_count(profiles);

ofcourse i got many errors and all that and yes the dll was loaded

this is a A6 plugin
your signature says, you have A7 (maybe thats the problem, i´ve never tested it with A7). if you have A7 you won´t need the plugin, cause lite-c has access to the windows api

if you have tried it with A6, i dont understand why you get these errors. since i´ve released the plugin 4 years ago and nobody claimed about an error

i had a documentation on my old website, but i cant find it anymore. i´m happy that i´ve found the plugin in a backup, but the doc wasnt there
