Hi. I'm currently using the Commercial Edition of 3DGS.
I'm trying to use this model in conjunction with Intense Pathfinding. Now, for some reason, whenever you run the engine with this model (everything regarding IP is set, such as actions and waypoints) the soldier sinks in the floor until his thigs are completely under the ground! There he stops sinking. From that point, the model behaves completely normally, except for the fact he's half-sunk in the floor.

I know this has something to do with the complex gravity and physics engine of IP. I just dunno how to solve it.
Here's a screen of my problem.

Thanks in advance.

PD: The model has the standard IP action called is_ai_Npc.

It was already at it's feet. But thanks anyways.
Any other ideas?

So if you use a different model in the same level it does not sink into floor?

Correct. I used the template Guard and a Max Payne model and this didn't happen. I guess it has something to do with these models having their origin between their hips.

Maybe the character is animated beneath it's origin.

I think Molotov is right. Check your animation "stand1" here the origin has moved up to the model midpoint. That is why it sinks into the floor. Make sure the origin starts at the midpoint and remains at a reasonable place throughout the animations.

Jim

Thanks for the observation.
Do you know of a way to change the origin without moving the model? 'Cause if not the model is kind of screwed.
