The
3dgsPurePacker release v1.00 of 12/22/2006 is ready for a free download from the homepage
www.projekt-3d.de of my friend KMS.
The
3dgsPurePacker.zip (approx. 138 kb) contains 3 files:
- 3dgsPurePacker.exe
- 3dgsPurePacker_English.chm
- 3dgsPurePacker_German.chm
You'll find it in section Downloads - Tools
(therefore the old link to the beta-version above doesn't work anymore).
Unpack the 3 files in an empty directory (e.g. C:\3dgsPurePacker).
The 3dgsPurePacker.exe can be started directly and needn't to be installed.
In Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg it starts in German, for the rest in English.
Example: Packing Testlevel After selection of the game start file the program will pack the game directory and its subdirectories in a single exe file (e.g. Testlevel.exe)
Example: Unpacking TestlevelWhen starting this packed self-extracting Testlevel.exe, a subdirectory with the name Testlevel will be created under C:\Windows\Temp, the game files will be unpacked into this and the game will be started.
During unpacking a user info will be displayed.
The unpacked game is not encoded.
Per default the temporary directory Testlevel will be removed again after the end of the game.
For further information take a look in the chm help file by pressing F1 or open it with the Windows Explorer and print it out.
I hope I've written a useful tool to pack game files.
Let me hear your opinion.
I wish all members of the Conitec forum a Merry Christmas.
