I'm working on simulation excavator, but there are problem when simulating the dredging ground.
how to simulate dredging of soil?
is there any kind of terrain that can be dredged by the excavator?
or PhysX is there a function that I did not know?
Please help.

You´ve to do it like pappenheimer suggests in this thread:

Use c_trace to determine where the shovel hits the ground.
Then you can use ent_setvertex to move the vertices of the terrain and the soil model in the shovel.
