Hi Folks - I wish to make a light emmiting transparent blue crystal which will light up the nearby area. It need to look as if it is giving out light - have tried everything, but no luck - can anyone help please

Ya got two options, flag it transparent (maybe set the alpha property to desired level too) then either put a sprite around it with a blue tint, or, add turn the light flag for the diamond on and turn its light_range up (its been a while since I've programmed with acknex so those might now be the exact spelling of the entities properties but if you do a manual search you will see what I'm talking about). also you could mix both methods to make it look even better.

my suggestion would be to not use realspawns code directly. copy+pasting always seems tempting but you might want to try and rewrite it so it not only fits your code better, but so you understand the process of what he's doing.
