Legendary Sword (RPG): Public Beta / Demo

Hello!

It is with great pleasure and nervous anticipation that I bring you the public Beta / Demo of Legendary Sword.

This RPG was inspired by the classics of the past, but includes unique features and modern graphics. Although technically first-person, you control three characters as you explore dungeons, terrain, and cities. The game includes an intuitive inventory system, pathfinding AI, a tutorial, and interactive environments.

Instead of going off on a marketing monologue, I will let the game speak for itself. Our goal is to make a game that you will enjoy. We are very interested in hearing your feedback, bugs reports, and suggestions!! Believe it or not, we are very open minded about making changes!! Just thought i would post to let you know that it also crashed after clicking "New Game" while trying to run it on my sisters computer, Which has a geforce 4 mmx 440. Somebody else witht the same card had this issue, So i thought i better bring it to your attention. I shall try and run the game on my other system with the 9800 pro, Cheers.

I havent tried the demo but i will, however i have the card your talking about its not very good IMO

Nice work guys keep it up!

The only negative I saw is that the pathfinding is kinda non-exist for the moement...

Enviroments are looking good. Nice concept so far.

I must comment about the website though... maybe it would be a good idea to design your own site before Bethesda gets wind of it... *cough* http://www.elderscrolls.com/home/home.htm *cough*

I have the same problem on a Geforce4 Ti 4400 128MB under Windows ME and DirectX 9.0c.

Does the game use any shaders?

When it crashed for me I did this simple. I hit esc after running it again, and clicked Exit. I ran it again, and it worked just fine. Maybe I am weird, or my computer is but this is how I got it to work.

BTW VERY nice game!

*** new update available! ***

A new Legendary Sword update is available that solves crashing issues that some people have been experiencing. The update also adds diagnostic features to help us troubleshoot future issues.

To download the patch, simply run "update" under the Legendary Sword program group in the Windows Start menu. (Start/Programs/Legendary Sword/Update)

Also, everyone should be pleased to hear that we are working on an improved control system. The new system includes a Morrowind-like crosshair for picking up items, quick slots for accessing items, and improved 1st person combat. Arrow keys have also been implemented.

The end result is that you can play 90% of the game without ever switching to mouse-mode. Keep your eyes out for an update with these new features in about a week. Initial responses to these changes have been very positive.

Thank you for all your feedback. Every comment is being read and considered, and the changes that you are seeing are a direct result of your comments. We are most thankful!!
